Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross Have Confirmed Their Baby's Sex

Ashlee Simpson may have only just started to show the first signs of a burgeoning bump, but the mom-to-be has already let us in on the secret of her baby's sex.

“We’re having a girl!” she confirmed to People.

Simpson and husband Evan Ross discovered they were expecting their first child together last Thanksgiving and Simpson admits they were eager to find out its sex. “I like to know—I want to do the nursery,” she told the magazine.

Simpson is already mom to son Bronx, 6, with her first husband, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, and it seems the little boy is just as excited as his mom about the prospect of a baby girl joining their brood.

“I told him pretty early on,” she told People. “And he wanted to have a sister, so he’s really excited! He’s got a little brother. Now he’s going to have a little sister!” Bronx already is already big brother to Saint Laszlo, Wentz’s 5-month-old son with girlfriend Meagan Camper. Congrats to the happy family!
