Ariana Grande Gives Piers Morgan a Lesson in Feminism, Silences Him on Twitter
Ariana Grande is taking no prisoners when it comes to male ignorance surrounding sexuality and feminism. Just ask former journalist Piers Morgan, who was destroyed by the singer after he mentioned her name in the Twitter-sphere to defend his chauvinistic comments.
But before we get into that, let's take a step back. Earlier this week, Piers criticized Ellen DeGeneres for her #InternationalMensDay video montage of half-naked men, and he didn't stop there. Then, he called out music group Little Mix for copying the Dixie Chicks for their new album art.
Adding insult to injury, Morgan was offended by the girl group's nudity, saying: "Ask her to put some clothes on (if she has any...)."
Enter Ariana's mom, Joan, who put Morgan in his place with the following message:
Piers responded to Joan and made the grave mistake of bringing Ariana into the conversation. “I’d just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity,” Morgan tweeted. “As your own daughter does . . . !”
The "God Is a Woman" singer proceeded to annihilate Morgan with an effective lesson in feminism and sexist double standards — even bringing into the mix an embarrassing photo of Piers nearly naked. Oh yes, she went there.
Surely, that silenced him. At least for now...
