Ariana Grande Speaks Out for the First Time Since Mac Miller's Death
It’s been a week since we learned the tragic news of Mac Miller’s death from an apparent overdose, and the rapper’s loved ones are still processing the tremendous loss.
Miller’s ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, shared a caption-less photo of her former boyfriend days following the news.
On Friday afternoon, Grande followed up by posting a sweet video she took of Miller, laughing as he realized she was filming.
“i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,” Grande began. “i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.”
Though sources had revealed Ariana was “distraught” and “completely broke down” upon hearing the news of Miller’s death, this is the first we’ve heard on the topic from Grande herself.
