Ariana Grande Replaces Pete Davidson Tattoo with Tribute to Another Ex
Ariana Grande’s tattoo replacement tour continues.
Throughout the duration of Ari and Pete Davidson’s brief engagement, the “Thank U, Next” singer got not one but five tattoos (that we know of) for, with, or inspired by the Saturday Night Live star — three of which we can confirm have been covered.
The most explicit of the bunch was of course the tiny cursive “pete” scrawl on her left ring finger, which she initially covered with a band aid, but quickly graduated to a tiny black heart.
This wasn’t the only Pete tatt Grande bore on her left hand. Just below her thumb Ariana had “reborn” written in all caps — Pete reportedly got the same tattoo. In late October the 25-year-old revealed a new image in its place: a feather.
Undoubtedly the most powerful of Grande’s tattoo coverups is the one on her left foot. Formerly a tribute to Davidson’s late 9/11 firefighter father (his badge number: 8418), a video from behind-the-scenes of her “Thank U, Next” video reveals that she’s swapped the memorial ink for a “Myron” tattoo — as in, the name of her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s dog.
It’s unclear whether Ariana adopted Myron following Miller’s sudden death on Sept. 7, but she did post a video of herself cuddling with the pooch two weeks later.
As far as tattoos go, Ariana’s latest is probably the least risky of them all. While the spark of a whirlwind romance may fade, puppy love is forever.
