We'd also like to report that her tiny bubblegum pink dresses, over-the-knee suede boots, diamond chokers, fur stoles and overtly glossy lips are nowhere to be found in the pop-star's latest magazine cover. Maybe they’re in hiding with Melania Trump?

In an uncharacteristically causal portrait, Grande graces the July cover of British Vogue appearing to resemble anyone but herself. (“Woah, I thought this was Hailey Baldwin at first,” an editor was overheard saying.)

Shot by Craig McDean, the cover image is gorgeous—it’s just that, you know, it’s not a photo of the super sultry and unapologetically feminine singer we’re used to seeing. Instead, a Chanel-clad Grande offers a pared down honey blonde 'do—a far cry from the intense, bluish platinum shade she’s worn for the past few months that screams pop star, provocateur, and cool.

Here, she’s giving us Christie Brinkley-worthy California beach blonde waves. And since when does Grande have freckles? Her light plum lip is comparatively subdued, and the nude nail polish is something you’d see on any girl next door. Her smoky cat eye is gone, and there are no signs of any leather outfits or girly headbands; there's nary a pair of latex bunny ears in sight (you'll find those on her boyfriend Pete Davidson).

Grande is honestly glowing here, and we’re into it. The cover line, “The Year That Changed Everything” refers to the transformative months she’s had since the May 2017 Manchester bombing. What better way to illustrate transformation than to put forth a whole new look?
