The "Focus" singer was replying to a social media post from someone who was asked whether they prefer her or Modern Family actress Ariel Winter. "It wud DEFINITELY be @arielwinter1 curves are sexy sticks aren't," the user wrote—a message that didn't fly under Grande's radar. "Sigh.... tweets, comments, statements like this are not okay. about anyone!!! we live in a day and age where people make it IMPOSSIBLE for women, men, anyone to embrace themselves exactly how they are," she writes, adding. "Diversity is sexy! loving yourself is sexy!" Amen, sister. The singer goes on to list misogyny, objectifying, labeling, comparing, and body shaming as "not sexy" before saying that people's bodies are not on display for other to judge.
