Ansel Elgort's Adorable Holiday Plans Will Make You Want to Join His Family

With two big-budget feature films and a franchise to his name (Allegiant, anyone?), Ansel Elgort has already demonstrated his impressive acting chops. And those familiar with the 21-year-old’s upbringing aren't the least bit surprised by his ease in front of the camera—after all, his father, famed fashion photographer Arthur Elgort, has spent countless hours shooting his son, along with his other two children, Sophie (a photographer) and Warren (a budding cinematographer), as well as his wife, Grethe Barrett Holby (a director-slash-choreographer).

We caught up with the youngest member of the Elgort clan (and InStyle's Man of Style Award winner) Tuesday night at the Pratt Institute in N.Y.C. before he joined his family for a panel discussion, and had to ask him what the accomplished group has planned for the upcoming holiday season. Predictably, their Christmas tradition is just as picture-perfect as you'd expect. "We have Norwegian roots, so we like to acknowledge that,” the actor told InStyle. “We’ll sing carols around the tree and wear bunads—a type of traditional Norwegian dress." Honestly, we can't wait for the deluge of Instagrams.
