Anne Hathaway's Plans for Awards Season? Blanket Parties and Home-Cooked Meals
We may be smack dab in the middle of awards season, but Anne Hathaway is taking things easy, laying low at home, and preparing for the upcoming release of her film Song One. However, the actress is pledging to take care of her friends who are in the thick of all the crazy festivities.
"I'm not in the middle of awards season, so I'm fine, but my friends are for sure," Hathaway says. "They all have an open invite to come to my house so that I can wrap them up in blankets and feed them a home-cooked meal. Just get away from all that if they need to. I've been through it, so I know that that's all you really want to do—just kind of have some place to call home, show up, and get to spend a day in your sweatpants." Can we take you up on the offer?
The star also expressed excitement for her nominated pals (including The Theory of Everything's Eddie Redmayne and Whiplash’s J.K. Simmons): "I think this is a particularly wonderful year because there are a lot of people up there who've never been nominated before, and that excitement is just so genuine and palpable," Hathaway shares. "I'm really happy for everybody, but it is a long season and it is really exhausting, so I just want to support the people I know the best way I can."
