After 15 roller coaster seasons, Fox's American Idol came to a bittersweet end Thursday night. For its final act, the beloved reality singing competition packed on the nostalgia with a parade of performances from former contestants—both familiar and forgotten. And somewhere along the way (after a special message from President Barack Obama and a surprise performance by William Hung) 25-year-old crooner Trent Harmon was crowned this season's winner.
