AMAs 2012: Colbie Caillat Designed Her Own Look
Colbie Caillat tried her hand at designing for the 40th Annual American Music Awards! “It’s a dress my stylist Anthony Franco designed with me,” the singer told InStyle.com of her silver halter gown with a plunging neckline. “I had a dress, but it didn't look right,” she explained. “We were exploring different ideas and I said, 'Oh! Can we make one?!'” And they did—sourcing the material and pinning it the morning of the awards. “With the AMAs, it’s all about being you, it’s about representing yourself.” So, is this the start of more Colbie Caillat designs? “I'd love to get into designing, but right now I'm singing.”
