Amal Clooney has made her grand entrance at the 2018 Met Gala, and to no one's surprise, she looked absolutely stunning. The human rights lawyer, who is hosting the gala alongside Rihanna and Donatella Versace, arrived on the red carpet with her husband George in a beautiful Richard Quinn look that featured a body-hugging shiny foil corset with a matching, floor-grazing train and, surprisingly, tailored pants. Interestingly, Quinn, the designer of her dress, is the same clothing maker that got Queen Elizabeth to sit front row at London Fashion Week in February.

As one of the honorary gala chairs, Clooney made sure her gown fit in nicely with the night's theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," specifically with the florals that are perhaps a nod to catholic imagery. Of course, she hit the red carpet with her husband George, who told Vogue why he was excited for the night: "Just a night out on the town on our own is nice."

This isn't her first stunning Met Gala ensemble. In 2015, Clooney stunned in a strapless red Margiela Couture gown with tiers of ruffles down the silhouette, proving that despite her serious day job, she knows how to have fun with fashion.

“I hate the idea that you somehow, as a human being, have to be put in a box,” she told Vogue for their May issue. “There’s no reason why lawyers can’t be fun—or actresses can’t be serious.”
