Amal Clooney Brought Cher's '60s Style Staple into the 21st Century
She's got style, babe.
The chicest of the chic, Amal Clooney, doesn’t just dress to the nines when attending a red carpet event or rubbing influential shoulders at the U.N. Like a true icon, Amal looks photo-ready for any occasion, including a stroll through one of the most universally dreaded places in the world: the airport.
Fresh off a red carpet style streak that included glitz, glam, and crop tops, the international human rights lawyer and her actor husband, George, headed to the Ciampino Airport in Rome on Tuesday morning (they began their week in Hollywood and made a pitstop in Orlando before heading overseas, by the way).
Amal clutched her husband’s arm as they made their way through the terminal. The Catch-22 star opted for a casual navy polo and jeans look, while his wife made the airport’s halls her runway in a mustard-hued crochet Alberta Ferretti minidress and square-toe brown suede over-the-knee boots.
The mother of two paired the boho late ‘60s/early ‘70s-inspired look (think: Cher circa “I Got You, Babe”) with her signature round sunglasses and an orange-red lip.
Whether off to Cannes or home to log some much-deserved family time with their twins, we’re certain the Clooneys’ next appearance will wow us just as much as their last.
