Allison Williams had a crazy year—she was the bride in not one but two weddings! (One was on the small screen, of course.)

The Girls star looked back on the two gorgeous but very different ceremonies in a new Instagram post. “Twice a bride in one year. What an odd accomplishment, and what a difference between 'em,” she captioned the side-by-side images of her gowns.

Williams tied the knot in September to CollegeHumor co-founder Ricky Van Veen on a ranch in Wyoming. For her real-life wedding (above, right), the actress wore a custom Oscar de la Renta by Peter Copping gown with intricate lace detailing and sheer long sleeves. She pulled her hair back into a sleek updo and wore a cathedral-length veil.

Her on-screen persona couldn’t have chosen a different gown. Both white dresses feature long sleeves, but that’s where the similarities stop. Her Girls character, Marnie, chose a bohemian-inspired look with a flowy V-neck gown, complete with lace-detailed sleeves. The bride accessorized with a loose side braid and a flower crown.

Two stunning bridal looks, and two very different dresses. Tune in to see Marnie’s nuptials unfold when Girls returns to HBO on Feb. 21.
