Before this season's obsession with all things '70s, there was Ali MacGraw, the original '70s icon whose preppy-meets-hippie style continues to inspire. And without surprise, four decades later, she's at it again—the actress has partnered with luxury retailer Madison of Beverly Hills to not only front its fall 2015 campaign, but also serve as its "Madison Muse."

"Ali has been a longtime client of ours, and when it came to choosing a Madison Muse for the season, I couldn't think of a better icon than Ali," David Assil, the brand's co-owner, tells InStyle. "I've never met anyone as sweet and as gracious as Ali."

A carefully curated selection of boots, ranging from lace-up midis to suede thigh-highs, and '70s-inspired accessories all pay homage to MacGraw's style. Designers include established brands, such as Casadei and Gianvito Rossi, newcomers Officine Creative and Silvano Sassetti (supporting emerging brands is something the retailer prides itself on), and Madison's in-house Los Angeles-manufactured line My Madison.

"You see the '70s look that's being shown in fashion and compare it with Ali's style then, and it's like she could have walked right off any of those runways," Massil says.

And what does Ali think about her dedicated collection?

"She loves it," he says resolutely.
