New York City (and probably the rest of the nation too) is having a heated love affair with Adele. The songstress, who released her new album 25 to lines of fans blocks-long, has been taking the city by storm with her out-of-this-world vocals.

The cap in the proverbial feather was her epic performance yesterday on Saturday Night Live. The show may have been hosted by Matthew McConaughey, but even the show's skits centered around the talented musician. McConaughey's monologue featured Adele's "Hello" as an anthem of sorts for Thanksgiving.

Later, the singer, herself, took the stage for her first TV performance of "Hello," which was followed up by another tear-inducing, glorious single, "When We Were Young." Tissues in the audience were not included.

The singer takes prepping for SNL seriously:

Laughs in the green room.
