When you have a fanbase as enormous as Adele’s, you’d think the chances of the star actually knowing a random concert-goer are slight. Not quite so. At her show in Amsterdam on Wednesday, the “Hello” singer invited two young girls on stage and proceeded to freak out on realizing she actually knew one of them.

Turns out one fan was the daughter of the singer’s cello player. “I knew her from when she was a baby!” the star told the crowd, while embracing the girl. “Her mom plays for me! She’s back there—she plays cello!”
