When 16-year-old Will Hunt's little brother Mac shared a video of him singing in his hospital room, he had no idea it would go viral—let alone end up in the hands of his idol. But Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine was so touched by the youngster's impressive performance of his band's 2002 hit "She Will Be Loved" that a week later he re-posted it on his personal Twitter account along with a heartfelt message.

"It's hard to express with words what it feels like to know you've helped someone in this way. So instead, I'll just share. Nice job kid. :)," Levine tweeted.

Will—who is "dealing with heart failure," according to his brother's tweet—filmed the video with his father (on the guitar) while awaiting open heart surgery in the intensive care unit of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Moments after Levine shared the video, the teen replied with understandable excitement.

"I can't breathe oh my god. Thank you so much I am your number 1 fan," he tweeted. "This is CRAZY"
