5 Shades of Grey Seen at Emmys 2012

In a year when every woman on Earth (and their mothers) read E.L. James’s Fifty Shades of Grey, the color now associated with BDSM-obsessed fictional Seattle businessman Christian Grey made a strong showing at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. American Horror Story’sConnie Britton sparkled from head to toe in an ashy Andrew Gn halter dress, Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland co-designed her beaded dove Notte by Marchesa look, Homeland’sMorena Baccarin chose a deep-plunging Basil Soda slate design, Mad Men bombshell Christina Hendricks worked a silver curve-hugging Christian Siriano mermaid gown, and Revenge’s Emily VanCamp chose a foggy J. Mendel gown (one of a number of stars who donned a Gilles creation). Looks like everyone has a little Anastasia Steele in them—or at least the love of something grey!
