4 Ways Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Hands-On
Chris Martin, who? Gwyneth Paltrow is keeping plenty busy—fronting the campaign for Restorsea Repairing Hand Treatment ($85) for starters—and she stopped to tell InStyle.com all about it. "I find using hand cream is a sweet and arcane way to pamper yourself," said the actress and cookbook author. "I keep it in the kitchen so it’s right there. I wash as I cook, and all that soap and water is so hard on hands." But she's more hands-on than that! Herewith, she reveals four ways to she likes to get "handy":
1. CLEAN KNIVES"People will ruin your cast iron pans, and my knives have been with me for years," Paltrow says. "They’re personal, and they become precious. I have my dad’s kitchen knife that he bought years ago in Paris. I do get sentimental about these things."
2. CHECK IPHONES"I have a thumbprint iPhone. In the morning, I quickly check my email, just to put out any fires. But morning is a very kid-intense time. I save my computer time for when they are at school."
3. PLAY GUITAR"I keep my nails pretty short because the kids are learning guitar and it’s so fun for us to all play together."
4. GET A BRIGHT MANI "My daughter always tries to steer me away from the dark reds I usually wear, so this week I am wearing a bright red for her."
