Drake, Rihanna, and Beyoncé Are Already Dominating the Billboard Music Awards
The Billboard Music Awards are more than a month away, but we already have a good idea of who could be taking home the night’s biggest trophies. The first round of nominees were announced on Monday morning, and your favorite performers are leading the pack.
Some of those very stars got repeat nods, as the nominees for the gender-neutral Top Artist category include Adele, Beyoncé, Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Drake, Grande, Mendes, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, and The Weeknd.
The nominees for the Top Hot 100 Song competition include The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, “Closer”; The Chainsmokers feat. Daya, “Don’t Let Me Down”; Drake feat. WizKid & Kyla, “One Dance”; Justin Timberlake, “Can’t Stop the Feeling”; and Twenty One Pilots, “Heathens.”
And the noms for the Top Billboard 200 Album category might sound familiar as well: Beyoncé, Lemonade; Drake, Views; Rihanna, Anti; Twenty One Pilots, Blurryface; and The Weeknd, Starboy.
Head to billboard.com for the full list of nominees, and tune in to the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 21, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC to see if a very pregnant Beyoncé shows up, or if Selena Gomez makes an appearance with her man, The Weeknd. And, you know, to find out who takes home the trophies.
