One of the top trends of the night were long-sleeved gowns that upped the coverage without compromising sex appeal. Red carpet darling Alicia Vikander shimmered in her patchworked paillette-embroidered Louis Vuitton column featuring almost every kind of metallic, while Dame Helen Mirren was positively lovely in her pale gold-and-platinum sequin-and-crystal embellished Jenny Packham gown that hugged her every curve. Brooklyn star Saoirse Ronan veered from the glam appraoch to red carpet dressing and sweetened up in her blush pink floral-embroidered Michael Kors Collection tulle gown. Queen Latifah fused graphic and sparkle with her long-sleeve black Michael Costello number that played up both. And finally, Marisa Tomei left an unforgettable impression in her plunging crystal-embellished Zuhair Murad Couture gown. Want more red carpet fashion? See the best looks from the 2016 SAG Awards.
