They're back! This morning BET Networks announced the nominations for the upcoming 2016 BET Awards and the list is full of familiar names and faces. In addition, the organization also hinted that the show would pay a number of tributes to the late Prince throughout, "as only BET can."

Drake leads the esteemed pack with a whopping nine nominations, including Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration for his hit "Where Ya At" with Future. Beyoncé and Rihanna aren't far behind with five nominations each, including three—Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration—in the same categories.

For the first time in its 16-year history, BET tapped choreographer Will "WilldaBeast" Adams to create an original dance video announcing three of the categories. The compilation (below) features clips of songs honoring artists nominated for Best Collaboration, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, and Best Female Hip Hop Artist.

The BET Awards aren't just about music, they recognize artists, entertainers, and athletes across more than 20 categories. "These nominees represent depth and diversity in achievement over the past year and we look forward to recognizing them next month," Stephen Hill, BET's president of programming said in a statement. "This show will be innovative and special; in addition to celebrating the best in entertainment, we'll also spend time throughout the show remembering Prince as only BET can. You can count on memorable performances and moments in honor of a true legend."
