The Netflix series that took the Internet by storm has already assembled a writers’ room to work out the plotline for Season 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The controversial series, executive produced by Selena Gomez, follows the book by Jay Asher about a teen who committed suicide, leaving behind explosive tapes explaining the 13 reasons why she did it. While it’s hard to see where a season two could be headed plot-wise—the book doesn’t have a sequel, so there’s no more content to base it on—it makes sense that Netflix would want to capitalize on the series’ popularity by bringing back the characters for another season.
