The thing about Jennifer Garner — the reason she is so beloved by everybody and anybody — is because she is truly relatable. She loves sweatpants unapologetically and makes us want to invest in a pair of fun, practical blue sneakers instead of splurging on something unnecessary. No one can deny how happy she looks all the time, and we'd have to argue it probably has to do with the fact that 1. She's Jennifer Garner, but also 2. She stays cozy.

And that's exactly why we were a little shocked to see Garner wearing high heels on repeat while out in New York City this week. Sure, Garner has worn heels before — and often — but in a pandemic world, we haven't really seen her reaching the high/low level of styling sweatpants with gold platform heels, a la Sarah Jessica Parker.

Unlike the rest of us, Parker was never ready to let go of dressing up, whereas Garner fully leaned into pandemic WFH style. Seeing Garner in a pair of heels this week made us realize that maybe, just maybe, it's time we took one pair of Ugg slippers out of our virtual shopping carts and replaced it with a pair of formal pumps. What's next? Hard pants?! (Probably).

But just like in all of her other paparazzi shots, Garner still looks ecstatic, comfy shoes or not. And if she can look this happy all dressed up and strutting down the streets of New York in navy pumps, why can't we?! She at least makes us want to try. Comfort can wait, after all.
