Photo: Theo Wargo/Getty Images It's currently New York Fashion Week, but if you look at street style photos from this past weekend, you might be confused by what season it is. Fashion editors ran around this past Saturday with exposed legs sans jackets, thanks to the 60-degree weather in New York. But a surprise snowfall on Sunday meant a return to the extreme layering (there were many Emma Brewin hat sightings) that's a hallmark of February fashion month. Katie Holmes, though, somehow managed to dress for nearly all seasons at once. For the Ulla Johnson show on Sunday, Holmes wore an all-black outfit featuring a belted puff sleeve top and long skirt from the brand's FW22 collection, along with black tights and woven sandals. A summer essential, woven mules weredefinitely a bold choice on a day where the wintery weather warranted moon boots instead. But Holmes is clearly dressing for the season she wants. And with February nearly halfway over, spring doesn't feel so far away anymore. If anything, we should all take a cue from Holmes' look and start investing in our own anti-winter outfits now. Holmes wears Ulla Johnson frequently, and the celeb-loved brand truly feels like warm weather in a tangible form; each collection features colorful floral patterns that give us nearly as much serotonin as a bright and sunny day. Plus, the belted midi dresses and ruffle blouses don't just look dreamy, but they're also extremely comfortable. Some pieces are even on sale at Nordstrom right now, and those that aren't are still under $500. As Holmes demonstrated, Ulla Johnson works for every season — and we'd be willing to bet that any of the current styles will look just as good with summer sandals as they do with snow shoes.
