There's also clearly a theme happening here: it's all about the exposed baby bump. But this time around, she wasn't wearing a vintage 1996 Chanel pink puffer coat, buttoned only once, in Harlem right before an impending snow storm. Instead, she opted for a long patchwork jacket featuring multiple animal prints, although her devotion to low-rise jeans is unwavering. Low-rise jeans have been on the horizon for months, with only the bravest among us willing to risk a whale tail to try the look. But with both Julia Fox and Rihanna pushing the style to new extremes, it seems like 2022 might just be the year for these controversial jeans to finally break into the mainstream. If anyone could make it happen, it would be the Queen of fashion herself, Rihanna. Her outfit also fits in so perfectly with the Y2K resurgence, it looks like it could have been plucked right out of 2005. We can basically hear Pon de Replay playing in the background. Won't you turn the music up? And while most expecting moms don't often consider hard pants for maternity fits, Rihanna has made us want to give the jeans a try, baby or not. If you're hesitant, you can dip your toes in (or ideally, put them in a pair of strappy heels to tie around the cuffs) and buy a pair for as little as $69 at Nordstrom. Only Rihanna could have us scouring the internet for a pair of jeans we swore we'd never ever wear again. But hell, she even has us reconsidering camouflage trucker hats. That's, once again, just the power of Rihanna. All hail.
