Summer is just about to end, and we're already thinking about the next one? Well, kinda, sorta. It's how the fashion world works, with fashion designers currently showcasing their pieces for the Spring/Summer 2022 season. Hey, at least it gives you enough time to prepare! You can read about some of the latest runway trends that'll be everywhere come spring and summer 2022, but the TL;DR is this: Tie details, low-rise pants, off-the-shoulder, cutouts, and pink are all going to reign supreme next year. That's right, the runway has spoken, as have color experts, highlighting two shades of pink that made it in Pantone's Spring/Summer 2022 Color Palette list — and French model Lily-Rose Depp is already on board. The model looked stunning on the red carpet in a Chanel skirt and coordinating crop top. The set is from the French fashion house's Spring/Summer 2014 collection (can we call that vintage yet?), rendered in the prettiest dusty pink that falls right between Pantone's Gossamer Pink and Innuendo. The pink hue is calming, joyful, and playful — and there's a reason it's anticipated to trend next spring. "Colors for Spring 2022 bring together our competing desires for comforting familiarity and joyful adventure through a range of soothing and timeless colors, along with joyous hues that celebrate playfulness," Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, shared in a release. Depp paired her pink set with a signature red Chanel lip, dark eyeliner, and black Chanel pumps. We don't know about you, but we're pretty much obsessed with the pastel hue after seeing this look.
