Photo: Getty Images If we've learned anything this summer, it's that supermodels' affinity for sneakers — whether they're expensive Golden Goose sneakers or a very simple pair of New Balances — is going absolutely nowhere. Take Bella Hadid, who's had a busy week showing off her sneaker collection in London: After making the case yet again for buying a pair of Adidas Forums, she brought back the ugly Dad sneaker trend that seemed like it was fading out. The term "ugly Dad sneaker" refers to a wide range of sneakers, but the purest form of this trend is a flat shoe with clashing colors and patterns and prints. These sneakers look like they were built for sport performance, but models wear them with Bottega and Prada, putting them to work in a whole different way. Hadid styled a yellow and black pair with simple black pants, a graphic T-shirt, and what appears to be a fuzzy leopard-print fleece. I know that ugly Dad sneakers are making a comeback not just because of Bella, but because also because I recently found myself on StockX looking at a pair of orange and blue Nike sneakers, which is very unlike me. If I'm looking at sneakers that are anything but platform white ones, I'm telling you, something is in the air. Nordstrom smells what I'm sniffing and has a solid amount of sneakers that would look right at home on the feet of tourist dads and international supermodels alike. This trend has range, and it's definitely here to stay — and if Hadid is already wearing it, it's probably on its way to selling out soon Get the Look: Asics Noosa Tri 13 Running ShoeShop now: $130; nordstrom.com New Balance FuelCell Propel v2 Running ShoeShop now: $100; nordstrom.com Nike Air Max 90 SE SneakerShop now: $130; nordstrom.com Nike Air VaporMax Plus SneakerShop now: $200; nordstrom.com Nike Space Hippie 04 SneakerShop now: $130; nordstrom.com Nike Air Max 97 SE SneakerShop now: $180; nordstrom.com Adidas Terrex Voyager H.RDY Hiking SneakerShop now: $100; nordstrom.com Adidas by Stella McCartney Outdoorboost 2.0 Primegreen SneakerShop now: $200; nordstrom.com
