Angelina Jolie has been on vacation in Italy, and we're jealous. But not just of her trip: We're more jealous of her ability to look both incredibly chic and comfortable at the same time. Maybe we're just bad at packing, but pulling this off on vacation really isn't an easy feat.

Jolie actually does this all the time, not just on vacation. She often wears the basics, including Everlane, white t-shirts, and good pairs of jeans. In Italy, though, her go-to look has been a caftan, a vacation staple favored by Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Ripa, and Rihanna.

The appeal of a caftan is obvious: It's oversized, it's comfortable, it's the perfect day-to-night look for the summer. Throw it on over a bikini for the beach and then pair it with some chunky jewelry or a designer bag for dinner later that night. Jolie has been a fan of caftans for years, often wearing the same ones on repeat.

Thankfully, for all of us looking to channel the actress, the trend is relatively affordable, since you can easily score a similar one on Amazon for as little as $24. Naturally, there are some expensive options as well, considering who they cater to: Tory Burch makes an embroidered option for $998, and Lisa Marie Fernandez has a long-sleeve one for just under $800. But you can easily wear this $37 one from Amazon and look just as fabulous.
