At least, that's what her jeans are telling us. While celebrities (and pretty much everyone else) made the switch to high-rise by around 2007, Garner has held fast to the southern-sitting waistline, which she often pairs with cozy tees, cardigans, and sweaters. When she's not wearing her famous Spanx leggings, you can be sure she's got a pair of low-rise skinnies or boyfriend jeans on proud display. On a coffee run in her chosen city of Los Angeles yesterday, Garner was predictably spotted wearing her denim cut of choice: a tight-fitting, low-rise pair in a deep blue wash. While the exact pair hasn't been officially ID'ed, we've seen her wear these jeans fairly recently, paired with a zip-up cardigan. She's also been quoted as saying Paige is her favorite brand for denim, so we wouldn't be surprised if she was, in fact, wearing this on-sale pair from the brand or a similar style. If Garner's go-to cut feels too daring for your own denim comfort levels, look toward her super simple outfit formula for making these an everyday option — involving the classic white t-shirt trick. It's as easy as picking any loose-fitting top with a hem that extends only marginally past the jeans' waistline and layering it over a white t-shirt, which ensures you're not flashing any skin as you move around. This works with sweatshirts, comfy knits, and even ugly Christmas sweater vests (if that's your thing). Is it revolutionary? No. But sometimes the most obvious solutions are the best ones.
