On the thousandth day of quarantine, Zoë Kravitz showed us how to actually wear sweatpants. It's funny because most of us thought we knew how and then Kravitz was like nah.

While out grocery shopping in New York, she wore a simple tank top, a face mask, green track pants, and platform black boots. That was her outfit for running errands. Have you ever thought to wear platform black boots with your sweatpants that you wear exclusively to run errands? Probably not because our brains are not nearly as hot or as cool as Kravitz's. Some might say that's unfair but that's just science or whatever. Take up your complaints with Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz's DNA.

Of course, we'll probably be living in our favorite pair of oversized sweats and track pants for a couple more months. But instead of just leaning in to the running errands look, we could also step it up a notch and throw on some platform boots or shoes to give the look a literal lift. It's the easiest way to accessorize an outfit that's always been categorized as lazy. Kravitz clearly demonstrates that anything can look cool if you try — but not too hard. Which is exactly why platforms are the one-step solution for all of our sweatpants woes.

Since today is also Blackout Day, you can support the initiative to bring attention to Black-owned businesses by shopping Black designers. Telfar and Pyer Moss both make incredible sweatpants and track pants that you'll actually want to be seen in. Local European makes all the wardrobe essentials you need which is probably why its affordable Rio tank is nearly always sold out. And of course Brother Vellies makes the best pair of flatform sandals we've seen in a long time.

So the next time you run errands think of it as the perfect time to ask yourself: What would Kravitz wear? And then throw on the tallest pair of shoes you own while also wearing what you slept in.
