Hailey Bieber’s never been one to pass up the opportunity to layer. Since the model donned a yellow, floor-length Bottega Veneta jacket in 2020, I’ve been eyeing her looks each time the temperature drops. This year she’s convinced me that my closet needs both a vintage moto jacket and an ultra-luxe fur coat (it’s all about balance). And while out in Los Angeles recently, she topped off her everyday outfit with an ultra-puffy version of a classic outerwear style. My wishlist just got a little longer.

Bieber’s $7,750 puffed-up bomber is from Loewe's fall/winter 2022 ready-to-wear collection — the same jacket Kendall Jenner wore on Instagram just days before in a festive, forest green hue. It’s everything I need this winter, working as an elevated version of the season’s go-to style, turning baggy jeans and claw-clipped hair into a complete, cold weather-ready look. Slightly cropped with an elasticized bottom that hit right at her waistband, the jacket gave her legs that goes-on-for-miles appearance.

And though my eyes were instantly drawn to the jacket (blame that on the negative temperatures outside my home), we can’t overlook the bottom half of her outfit, where she paired one of this year’s ‘It’ shoes with the supermodel-favorite denim style. Yes, we’re heading into 2023 as we started: in chunky loafers. Bieber’s shoes feature gold detailing and a short heel, dressing up the relaxed look of her light-wash, baggy jeans.

The entire look is very ‘90s, from her hair down to her shoes. While you could raid your mom’s closet while home for the holidays, we also found plenty of Hailey Bieber-inspired pieces from Free People to recreate this throwback ‘fit.
