Unless you've been sleeping under a rock, you're well aware of the existence of a real life utopia that is The Museum of Ice Cream. Located in downtown Los Angeles (it’s second stop after a short yet hugely successful tenure in Manhattan last year), this traveling gallery that is devoted to everyone’s favorite frozen treat is making all of our childhood dreams come true. Within the walls of the industrial building which is painted a can't-miss-it bubblegum pink, is a land of free ice cream, more selfie opportunities than you could’ve imagined, and even more pink. Oh, and did we mention the swimming pool filled with sprinkles, the very same one that Beyonce and clan recently took a dip in? In short, it's pure bliss. So who then, is the mastermind behind it all?

A young gal named MaryEllis Bunn. At the ripe age of 25, she started the MOIC with her business partner Manish Vora of Light Box last year, and her youthfulness (read: relatability) just may be the secret sauce to her success. That and a killer work ethic. When dreaming of the space, she envisioned an interactive, happy place that felt current with the social current, aka taking nonstop selfies, and just made people feel good. The result is a total fun house of themed rooms that pay tribute to the various flavors and toppings that are associated with enjoying your favorite scoop, flooding our hearts and Instagram feeds with happiness in the form of plastic, antimicrobial sprinkles. On any given day you could be touring the venue amongst kids, grandparents, even celebrities like Katy Perry and the Kardashians—it doesn’t get any more democratic than that.
