Peek Inside Jamie Chung's Charmingly Chic Kitchen and Shop the Look
Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg’s daily morning rituals sound as charming as one would expect of a too-cute-to-be-true couple: “We set our KitchenAid coffee maker to 6:45 a.m. so the coffee brews while we walk the dog,” says Chung, “and feed our pup while we make breakfast. It’s either a veggie egg scramble with toast, açaí bowl, or avocado toast with a sunny-side up egg.” The only thing missing from this picturesque morning was the beautiful backdrop for all of these activities to take place in—until recently that is, when they partnered with Decorist celebrity designer Will Wick and Lowe’s to transform their outdated kitchen into one that was fitting for a style influencer like Chung herself.
While the original bones were promising, this part of the home needed a serious update. “When Jamie and I talked, I found that she craved a casual, livable, and functional space, but also wanted it to feel modern and sexy,” says Wick. So he got to work to design an airy, modern room that incorporated the couple’s existing vintage elements. Most importantly, it had to be suitable for all the entertaining that Chung loves to partake in. “I cook when I have the time and I love hosting casual dinners during a game,” says Chung who invites her crew over for big matches and serves up crowd-friendly dishes like artichoke dip, and tacos with Korean seasonings.

“When I first got the images of Jamie and Bryan's kitchen, I immediately saw the charm and potential. The bones were great but it needed a serious clean-up and a modern point of view,” says Wick. “Now, the kitchen feels clean and contemporary yet comfortable and functional.” And we cannot get enough of those tiles.

“We wanted to maintain the vintage integrity of the space while giving it a fresh look,” says Wick. “We kept the cool vintage '60s banquette but recovered the old vinyl with the reverse side of selvedge denim with contrasting denim trim piping. It kept the vibe but gave a modern twist—denim on denim!”

Throughout the space, there is plenty of storage available for all of Chung and Greenberg’s gear. “I love the ample storage space because it helps me keep the counters tidy,” says Chung, when asked about her favorite part about her new space.
