With Texas’ BIG reputation, one might expect the homes to be just that. But, what do you do if you prefer a cozier urban retreat? Well, then you set up camp at Richman Signature Properties’ Parc at White Rock.

Located next to picturesque White Rock Lake and many trendy shops and restaurants, the rentals at Parc at White Rock are truly the best of both worlds. Richman Signature Properties enlisted the interior designers at Laurel & Wolf to create a look for their model unit.

Residents are now able to choose from a curated list of paint colors and work with a professional interior designer to customize the style of their space. To get the partnership rolling, Laurel & Wolf’s Kimberly Winthrop took on the model unit, using a sense of tradition as her main inspiration for the space.

“Renters are taking a page out of the history books and looking towards more classical color palettes for their homes,” says Kimberly. Through her use of rich pigmented tones in blues, grays, and wheat accents, she designed a space to help renters see their home’s great potential.

“In 2017, millennials and GenXers want simplicity. There is a renewed interest in classical original furniture pieces and mixing design styles to create a one of a kind eclectic look,” says Kimberly. In the living room, matching trunks double as side tables to establish a sense of history while providing some much-needed storage.

For the bedroom, Kimberly designed an electronic-free sanctuary with ties back to nature nearby. “With all the technology and go, go, go in every day life, there is an increase in the attempt to make bedrooms a place of rest and relaxation. People are moving their home offices out of the bedroom, removing TV’s, and shifting to calming colors and monochromatic palettes,” says Kimberly.

With so many decisions to make when moving into a new space, picking all of the furniture and accessories can be more overwhelming than exciting. Having a partner in the design process helps to eliminate those stresses and makes settling in a walk in the Parc.
