It's no wonder this period is so hard to pin down, as the sign of the Fish is ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams that makes it tough to know what's real and what's not. But in early March, Pisces' new moon will encourage us to at least get clear on what we want our own reality to look like in order to set a powerful, expansive intention. This lunar event, exact at 12:36 p.m. ET/9:36 a.m. PT on Wednesday, March 2, presents an opportunity to kick off a whole new whimsical, spiritually-satisfying chapter in your life. Your March Horoscope Is Here The new moon in Pisces is imaginative and ethereal. New moons — which happen when the confident sun pairs up with the intuitive moon — always present a monthly opportunity to get clear on which new chapter you want to write over the course of the next two weeks (up until the next full moon) and next six months (when the corresponding full moon occurs). And this month's new moon will urge you to reflect on deep-rooted emotions, dreams, artistic impulses, and spiritual satisfaction, as it falls in Pisces, the ruler of the twelfth house of spirituality. In turn, you could be focused on tapping into your imagination, embracing the ethereal and mystical, and healing the past in order to more fully embrace your hopes for the future. Jupiter brings luck and a "bigger is better" mentality. The main planetary action happening around this Pisces new moon is a conjunction with Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system which, in astrology, represents fortune and expansion. It's considered a benefic — a planet with a favorable influence — and moving through Pisces since late last year, it's exalted, which means it's able to most fully express its energies. In other words, Jupiter can bring even more abundance and magnification while it is in Pisces. So what does this mean for its starring role during this new moon? My mentor April Elliott Kent jokes that people often think of Jupiter as Santa Claus, offering up an avalanche of gifts wherever it lands, but that's not quite the case. It's the planet that compels us to want more and to think bigger. So when it pairs up with the new moon, it'll stir up even more emotion in whatever area of life — aka house — Pisces rules in your natal chart. You may want to cast a wider net in your dating life, shoot for a longer-term financial goal, pour even more of your heart into a creative project. What Your Mars Sign Can Tell You About Your Sex Life This moon is an opportunity to take note of whatever's coming up for you and channel it into an intention that will ultimately manifest Jupiter's luck. And because the planet of fortune will connect with the sun three days after the lunar event, a lovely blast of confidence and vitality could serve to reassure you that you're right on track. Uranus delivers unexpected — but ideally, positive — twists and turns. The planet of change, rebellion, revolution, in fixed earth sign Taurus will form a friendly sextile to the new moon — and, more widely, Jupiter. Uranus pushes for change that comes entirely out of the blue, breakthroughs, and shocking, electrifying moments. It's all about striking out against convention and acting independently, and it can whip up a lot of nervous energy. And that could very well be the case around this new moon. But because Uranus and the new moon are in a harmonious aspect to one another, any surprises that come up now will ideally prove exciting and spiritually satisfying while inspiring positive change. Venus, Mars, and Pluto are all in play as well. At the time of the new moon, Venus, the planet of love, Mars, the planet of sex, and Pluto, the planet of power, will be nearly conjunct in Capricorn, the industrious earth sign. This planetary trio stirs up reflection on our relationships, energy, power dynamics, and creativity. You'll want to be sure whatever you start now is in line with your values, amplifies your energy, and makes it possible for you to maintain — if not bolster — your personal power. What Your Mars Sign Can Tell You About Your Sex Life Here, how this Pisces new moon will affect you, based on your sign. (Pro-tip: Be sure to read both your sun and your rising sign, if you know it. If you don't, you can find it on your natal chart or via this CafeAstrology calculator.) Aries (March 21-April 19) With the new moon in your twelfth house of spirituality, you'll feel like hibernating and meditating in order to gain more clarity around what you want to achieve in the weeks ahead. Lucky Jupiter's coziness with the lunar event allows you to think in a big picture way. Taurus (April 20-May 20) This new moon hits your eleventh house of friendship and long-term wishes, presenting an opportunity to gain clarity around a big picture goal you want to achieve as part of a team or group. Being particular about who you need by your side in order to cross the finish line is especially crucial now — but, thanks to fortunate Jupiter's starring role in this lunar event, you can trust that luck's on your side. Gemini (May 21-June 20) Falling in your tenth house of career, the new moon will have you feeling ready to zero in on a specific vision for your future. Whether you're thinking of submitting your resume to new job opportunities, pulling together a business plan, or entirely rethinking how you've been defining success, this can be a fortunate and expansive moment. Cancer (June 21-July 22) Falling in your ninth house of adventure, the new moon inspires you to get out of your mundane routine in order to experience something new and thrilling. Making plans for the spring and summer — maybe a birthday vacay? — could be particularly enlivening, and thanks to lucky Jupiter's conjunction to la luna, you'll be feeling extra optimistic as well. Leo (July 23-August 22) Falling in your eighth house of intimacy, the new moon may inspire you to take a more casual relationship to a deeper, more committed, or more spiritually-fulfilling level or go into business with a friend, colleague, or partner. This can be a time of fortunate expansion in your closest bonds. Virgo (August 23-September 22) The new moon is in your seventh house of partnership, and because it cozies up to fortunate Jupiter, it'll make everything in this part of your life seem bigger somehow. Take this opportunity to get clear on what you want your closest collaborations and bonds to look like two weeks and six months from now. Libra (September 23-October 22) Falling in your sixth house of daily routine, the new moon and Jupiter will have you fired up to get even more organized. Remember that Piscean energy is dreamy, spiritual, imaginative, so tapping into all of those parts of yourself could be key to bringing more balance and productivity into your everyday hustle. Scorpio (October 23-November 21) With the new moon — and Jupiter — in your fifth house of romance and self-expression, this is one of the sweetest opportunities you have all year to start a new chapter in your love or artistic life. If you've been wanting to dive into an imaginatively fulfilling project, meet someone special, or propose that you and your S.O. take your relationship to the next level, this may be the moment. Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) Falling in your fourth house of home life and pairing up with your ruler, expansive Jupiter, the new moon presents you with a chance to set a powerful intention related to your emotional well-being and bonds with loved ones. Tap into whatever makes you feel most secure to figure out your next best step. Capricorn (December 22-January 19) With the new moon in your third house of communication, you're being presented with a blank canvas on which you could paint a whole new vision for satiating your appetite for more knowledge. Whether you want to explore higher education or plan a road trip to a nearby destination that offers tons of history and sightseeing ops, this moment can lead to inner growth. Aquarius (January 20-February 18) The new moon is in your second house of income, so consider writing down exactly what you want to manifest financially. Or have a conversation with a colleague who knows you better than anyone and would go to bat for you. Or send your resume out to dream employers. Your drive, passion, and vision will be what gets you to the next level professionally now. Pisces (February 19-March 20) Your annual new moon presents you with a unique opportunity to nail down your big picture vision. Because the moon will pair up with lucky, expansive Jupiter, it's not only OK but preferable that you aim for the stars; after all, the largest planet of the zodiac is all about going big or going home.
