Tour and Shop Amber Valletta’s Beach Town Retreat
Supermodel Amber Valletta is one of the most successful models in her industry, and it’s her highly recognizable face that brought her and her decorating bestie Ross Cassidy together. After passing by her Santa Monica abode during a leisurely bike ride, Cassidy introduced himself as a fellow neighbor and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Valletta herself had been admiring the exterior of his own property. Their friendship quickly blossomed from there and a year and a half later, Cassidy started updating Valletta’s Spanish Revival home, transforming it into her dream beach-town retreat, all the while keeping eco-consciousness a top priority.
“I remember being in New York 22 years ago and talking about climate change,” says Valletta, whose brightly colored villa is covered with natural fibers (by way of sisal rugs and grasscloth wallpapers), and where the walls are covered with paints from Benjamin Moore’s Natura line—even the furniture is filled with a responsibly sourced alternative foam.

Valletta's office is where she brainstorms new concepts for her upcoming projects. The books are organized by hue. "I have a thing about color-coding," she says.
