She's also a Reiki master and yoga teacher, and lives in New York with her husband and newborn son.Highlights:Katy is a Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism-trained journalist and editor.She has national and European experience in interior design & architecture, health/wellness, paywall and content strategy, on-air hosting, and video production.She was formerly Director — Editorial Special Projects for SANDOW Design Group and a consultant for Material Bank. as well as a founding editor of Architectural Digest's re-launched B2B community, AD PRO.Katy is a reiki master and yoga instructor (Completed YTT 200 training in Ibiza, Spain, in 2019). Experience Katy has an extensive background in editorial and content strategy, including roles as the editor behind Architectural Digest's relaunch of AD PRO, a membership community for members of the interior design trade. She also served as executive editor of Business of Home, and in roles at Hearst Corporation's King Features Syndicate, People Magazine, and Work Style, an Italian quarterly based in Milan. She received her M.S. with Honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fordham University.Katy was first introduced to consumer reporting in a seminar taught by the then-editor-in-chief of Consumer Reports in her final year at Columbia. She even had the opportunity to tour the legendary Consumer Reports testing grounds. To this day, she loves being directly accountable to readers/viewers. Her interest in wellness means that she's always on the hunt for products that do good and feel good with minimal negative impact to our health and the environment.
