Minutes before the show—which was running 30 minutes behind schedule and counting—models were being given the finishing touches by overzealous hair stylists whilst the likes of Aboah Adwoa were still slipping into their gown. The term "organized chaos" is thrown around a lot, like when we haven’t managed to tidy our room at the age of 28-years-old because work has been "too" stressful … or is that just me? But at Dior this is chaotic perfection. Getty At the snap of a finger, the models form a well-orchestrated lineup backstage and get in formation, as Beyoncé would say. The unfolding identity parade showcases Dior’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest vision of femininity: the glitziest take on '60s mods you will ever encounter is broken up with flashes of patchwork denim and, of course, slogans with feminist tones. After the models have undertaken their final march down the runway, decorated with shattered mirrors and Maria Grazia Chiuri has taken her final bow, the great and the good of the front row descend in their droves to congratulate the Dior designer. Getty It is very rare for a celebrity to ACTUALLY recall who you are after meeting them previously, especially when they are as in demand as Emily Ratajkowksi but not everyone is as tuned in as the real Emily. Greeting me with, “we only ever see each other in Paris,” recalling the time I made her flog a bag to me in a French accent, the mega babe of all mega babes exclaims she “went for a Renaissance vibe today but you know me it has a sexy split at the side!” She added: “I love her silhouettes—I think they are so feminine and rock and roll. All of the girls came down the runway like they were going to WERK, which I loved!” Are we the only ones clicking our fingers in a circular motion? Getty Emily wasn’t the only front rower gushing over the spring 2018 collection, Karlie Kloss skipped onto the mic to share her thoughts. But there was a different sort of air surrounding Karlie Kloss, perhaps it was the dramatic hair change to peroxide blonde? “Blondes are 100 percent having more fun, at least this blonde is! I think it’s a difference in me—I feel different, I feel confident, it’s how you wear it, not what you are wearing!” Edward Berthelot/Getty We are off to go dye our hair blonde RN, because whatever Karlie Kloss is having we want.
