So, You’ve Over-Curled Your Hair — Now What?
It happens to the best of us. You wanted loose, beachy waves, but you've ended up with tight, over-curled ringlets. The good news is that you don't have to start your style over. The bad news? You're going to have to spend a few extra minutes making amends.
Luckily, according to celebrity hairstylist David Lopez, the damage control is super simple. He says to take a blow-dryer like T3's Cura Luxe Hair Dryer ($285; dermstore.com) and a paddle brush like Conair's Velvet Touch Large Paddle Brush ($5; target.com), and use the tools to brush out the ends of your curls to loosen them up. Make sure the dryer is on low speed and heat when you're using it.
Once you've gone over your entire head, spritz a dry oil finishing spray like Kenra Professional's Dry Oil Control Spray ($19; ulta.com) on your waves for extra volume and hold.
