Kate Middleton's hair is superhuman. Whether the Duchess is wearing it in a low chignon, blown out, or half-up, her styles always defy the elements by looking perfect in the rain, wind, or humidity.

There are countless tutorials out there on how to achieve Middleton's signature bouncy, wavy blowout, but just like the Royal we like to switch up our hairstyles every so often, too. That's why we turned to celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena to get tips on how to do Middleton's timeless half-up hairstyle.

Start off by creating soft waves in your hair using a large barrel curling iron in one-inch sections. Pin the front sections of the hair up out of the way, and spray the sections of hair underneath with a strong-hold hairspray like L'Oréal Paris' Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray ($13; target.com). Take the pieces you pinned down, and prep them with a bit of dry shampoo such as Bumble and bumble's Pret-a-Powder Tres Invisible Dry Shampoo with French Pink Clay ($29; sephora.com). Gently tease the pieces with a comb for extra volume.

Brush the hair back, and starting from ear-to-ear gather the hair and twist it back. Use clips to set the pieces in place. Once you've twisted both pieces back, secure them with bobby pins in and "X' shape and remove the clips. None of Middleton's looks every have flyaways, so your hair shouldn't either. Spray your finished style with a final coat of hairspray to set everything in place.
