These 6 Hair-Volumizing Products Are the Trick to Jennifer Lopez's Glamorous Waves

First, Appleton prepped J.Lo's hair with Color Wow's Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, an anti-frizz keratin treatment that's activated by heat. It doesn't weigh hair down or leave it feeling sticky, and essentially smoothes strands into a sleek, silky shape perfect for styling. Appleton then applied some of Color Wow's new Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer (also one of InStyle's Best Beauty Buys of 2021) on J.Lo's roots. The foamy mousse thickens fine strands and creates a ton of volume, something that reviewers say gives "fuller hair in minutes," without any stiffness or crispiness like other volumizers, and holds up super well in humid weather.

Appleton then blew J.Lo's hair out with Leandro Limited's hair dryer, brushed it, and curled her hair with BaBylissPro's Nano Titanium Spring 1.5-inch curling iron to create beachy yet natural-looking waves. To add shine, the hairstylist finished with Color Wow's Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray which leaves strands looking incredibly glossy. Reviewers say Color Wow's spray "produces great shine without any weight or oiliness added whatsoever," and judging by how almost satin-like J.Lo's hair looked at Venice, it certainly works.

Lastly, he added 22-inch Double Hair Set Clips in Blondette for length and extra volume by Beauty Works, a British brand beloved also by Jen Atkin, the Kardashians' go-to celebrity hairstylist. Everything came together to create the "bombshell, dolce vita-inspired hair" that was Appleton's design.
