InStyle's editorial guidelines Published on November 21, 2021 @ 11:41AM Pin Share Tweet Email Camila Cabello marked a new chapter of her life sans Shawn Mendes with a drastic hair transformation. Days after the pair announced their split, Camila debuted a post-breakup makeover on Instagram, and it was anything but ordinary. While most woman cut off some serious inches or color their hair lighter (or darker) following a breakup, Camila pulled the ultimate power move and dyed her brunette locks mint green — a look that basically screams, "new hair, don't care." "I clean up ok," Camila jokingly captioned a carousel of images of herself modeling her new 'do. In one slide, she posted a selfie with no makeup and her signature dark hair pulled back into a messy ponytail, before revealing a full face of glam and her pastel hair styled in a voluminous updo. Her mint green locks (courtesy of celebrity stylist Dimitris Giannetos) not only matched the shade of her plunging gown with ruffled sleeves, but also her freshly-painted nails. Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes Have Broken Up Earlier this week, Camila and Shawn confirmed they broke up after two years together in a joint statement posted to their Instagram Stories. "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends," they wrote, adding: We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward ❤️❤️❤️ Camila and Shawn." According to a source at Entertainment Tonight, the split was mutual. "They realized they are in totally different places in their lives at this point, and it was time to end things," the insider said. "They're both sad about the split, but doing their best to take care of themselves, stay busy and surround themselves by loved ones."
