'Euphoria' 's Barbie Ferreira Is Keeping the Ginger Hair Trend Alive

Redheads are so hot right now, and Euphoria's Barbie Ferreira is the latest celebrity to enter the ginger hair chat. The actress, who is known for taking makeup and hair risks, has switched up her hair color once again, and debuted her new look on Instagram.

On Jan. 19, the actress shared a selfie gallery. In the photos, her perfectly disheveled ginger waves rested on her shoulders and framed her face. For makeup, Barbie chose subtle pink lips and glittery blue eyeshadow — not unlike her character Kat Hernandez on the smash HBO show.

"Oopsies," she captioned the carousel that showed off her new color, a departure from her usual raven black hair. Barbie has played around with red hair before, but the color was deeper, like an auburn. This time, the dimensional copper (a huge 2022 trend) has streaks of orange and blonde, for a brighter, more eye-catching look.

The experimental hairstyle is on-brand for Euphoria's bold beauty looks. The show has become synonymous with exaggerated eye makeup, from glitter and vibrant colors to rhinestones and massive lashes.

"The overall intention is emotional glam: makeup with an emotional story behind it," the show's makeup artist Donni Davy recently told InStyle. "The point is for the makeup to first give the audience a little more insight into the emotional states of the characters, and then to register as a cool makeup look, but never the other way around."
