Zendaya Offers an AP-Level Lesson in Layering

Welcome to "Who Won Fashion Today," where we award the boldest, best dressed person of the day. Winning fashion doesn't necessarily mean you're wearing the most expensive, trendiest, or prettiest dress. Rather, we reward risk-takers—those that stay true to their personal style and make us go, "Now THAT is a LEWK."

We independently research, test, review, and recommend the best products—learn more about our process. If you buy something through our links, we may earn a commission.

Last week Zoe Kratvitz won fashion for wearing a hot pink twisted front seam Sies Marjan dress. We referred to it as the chicest straightjacket we had ever seen.

It's no secret that we have a soft spot for Sies Marjan. They scream "cool kid." Any stylist throwing a twisted, layered, asymmetric popsicle colored piece on his or her client is definitely asking to be in the running for WWFT.

Our BFF Zendaya had a really busy day yesterday. She wore a Ulyana Sergeenko couture dress in the middle of the day, followed by a pinstriped oversized suit fully emblazoned with roses. Which, we might add, she brilliantly paired with sneakers.

But to no surprise, it was her Sies Marjan look that solidified her win: a crew neck sweatshirt and hi/lo asymmetrical mint skirt from the Fall 2017 collection. Oh, and then there were her fairy tale princess sparkly Louboutin pumps.

We want it all.

What made the look exceptional was the dramatic layering that almost all Sies Marjan pieces have: ballgown-like length side by side with mini skirt sexiness. So, like, if Zendaya were a teacher, we'd suggest she teach an Advanced Placement class in layering. Guest speaker: Sies Marjan's Sander Laks.
