This past weekend was the third annual theCURVYCon convention, and it definitely met all of our expectations and then some. This weekend celebrated women, our bodies, and, of course, fashion! Every panel, shopping event, fashion show, and conversation at the convention was inspiring and filled with the positivity we love seeing in mass media.

The 'sip and shop' portion of the event (aka a mingling and shopping hybrid activity) allowed us to browse some of the hottest brands that curve fashion has to offer: Simply Be, Premme, Gwynnie Bee, Ashley Stewart, Fashion to Figure—the list goes on. Women were treated to one-on-one consultations to figure out what works best for them and to get advice on crafting their own style.

The event hosted panels featuring today's most body positive faces; such as Precious Lee, Ashley Nell Tiption, Gabi Gregg, and Nicolette Mason discussing everything from sex, body issues, fashion, and how to live the fullest and healthiest life possible. Add to that a killer fashion show powered by Dia & Co. featuring the latest styles and trends soon to be available to the masses this season.

The key-note speaker, Chrissy Metz (who attended on behalf of Eloquii and looked fab in an ensemble by the brand, by the way), was the creme de la creme. She was funny, warm, honest, and charming in an intimate discussion with theCURVYCon co-founders, Chastity Garner and CeCe Olisa. We're sure every woman walked away with affirmation that whatever makes you feel comfortable is what's right for you.

In the midst of fashion week chaos, it was refreshing to take a breather and speak with women (and men!) who are on the forefront of all things positive. After walking away from this weekend, we know the women who attended theCURVYCon gathered info on how to not only be their best selves but also how to look fierce while doing so!
