Last week Selena Gomez released her third album, Rare. New music often means non-stop promotion, public appearances, new interviews, and months-worth of outfits worth writing about. And Gomez is living up to the title of her album by wearing so many up-and-coming designers and new brands we haven’t heard of. As she sings in the song: Baby, she’s rare.

No shade to celebrities but they’re not exactly who we look to for discovering new fashion, which is why Gomez’s outfits as of late have been so refreshing. And what’s even more rare is that her latest go-to shoe brand is not only from a relatively unknown brand but it’s also actually affordable, too.

Last week, Gomez wore a burnt-orange suit from Amsterdam label Gauge 81, a knit top by Victor Glemaud, and croc-stamped boots by Yuul Yie. Gauge 81 is known for its minimalist basics that retail for under $500 whereas Victor Glemaud is known for his exuberant, colorful knits that can cost a little under $1,000. Yuul Yie is by far the most accessible outfit component of Gomez’s look, although it’s probably the one most people are least familiar with.

Yuul Yie has been around for ten years but its popularity has only really picked up recently. You’ve probably seen the brand more than you realize, in street-style slideshows or on your Instagram feed. It makes shoes that are on-trend, often with structural, funky heels, that typically retail for $350 to $500, which explains why they’re so popular with the fashion crowd. They’re essentially works of art you can wear on your feet in colorways that look like modernist paintings.

Gomez, though, appears to be the only celebrity that’s caught on to one of the best-kept fashion secrets of the moment. Yuul Yie is also one of Nordstrom’s best-kept secrets too, because every shoe by the brand is currently 60 percent off. That means no boot, slingback pump, or mule is over $200. Gomez’s Glam Statement Heel Booties are actually part of the sale, not in croc but in black, for $194. You can also scoop up to three pairs of Yuul Yie shoes for the original price of her boots, which typically retail for $513. This too, of course, is very rare.

From the perfect white Chelsea boot to the most versatile slingback pump to Gomez’s boot in an even more essential color, shop the Yuul Yie sale at Nordstrom below.
