For too long we’ve had a government that made face masks political. Now, we have a president-elect who has said he plans to make a national face mask mandate. Thankfully, almost every single celebrity with influence has been on the right side of history by promoting the use of face masks in public. And of course, celebrities like Adele and Sarah Jessica Parker have managed to make a simple health measure look fabulous.

First and foremost, the difference between a standard accessory and an accessory that prevents the spread of COVID-19 is obvious: face masks save lives. But unlike other celebrity-approved accessories, face masks are also affordable. While on the set of Saturday Night Live recently, Adele wore a Wolford face mask that’s far more accessible than the pricey hosiery the brand was first known for. Naturally, Adele’s mask sold out almost instantly.

But as it turns out, Sarah Jessica Parker has also been wearing Wolford face masks quietly for weeks. Naturally, SJP’s mask wasn’t simple black, but all-over lace in her standard Carrie-Bradshaw-but-make-it-pandemic fashion. And unlike the simpler version, Parker’s is not only still in stock on Amazon, but it’s also currently on sale

Aside from being beloved by celebrities everywhere, Wolford’s face coverings have a reputation of being durable and breathable. Remember, this is the brand behind the bodysuit both Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez wear with everything and the stockings hundreds of reviewers swear don’t rip

Wolford’s lace face mask is obviously stylish and can actually make an outfit look fancier. But if you want to be more low-key, the mask is, in fact, reversible and all-black on the other-side. Which means that while Adele’s exact face mask is sold out, SJP’s is basically a two-for-one deal

As the country unfortunately braces itself for yet another wave of COVID-19, one thing is certain: face coverings are necessary, and the ones we see endorsed by celebrities are bound to sell out before others. So while SJP’s wearage of Wolford may have gone relatively unnoticed at first, it’s only a matter of time before everyone else rushes to buy one, too.
