That's probably because I'm never dressed appropriately for cold weather: I'll wear mini skirts and thigh-high boots in place of pants until the wind chill insists otherwise. (I clearly model my decisions around Rihanna.) This year, though, I'm determined to change that. And that change starts with investing in a pair of Ugg boots. Celebrities have been going all-out with Ugg boots this season. Gigi Hadid made me want the platform Tazz mule, Selena Gomez made me reconsider the controversial wedge Ugg boot, and now, I'm falling into the frenzy for Ugg minis, a look Emily Ratajkowski has been behind since September 2020. My sister desperately wanted a pair of minis for Christmas and informed me that the style was constantly sold out. But I'm currently looking through Rue La La's secret Ugg boot sale, which launched today (another resolution of mine is to try and save some money — sale shopping counts, right?). And somehow, Rue La La has the popular fur cuff Ugg mini boots available in both black and beige for only $140. Courtesy Shop now: $140 (Originally $200); ruelala.com The secret sale site also has the most perfect Y2K Ugg boot I've ever seen: The Classic Gem leather mini bootie for $116. It lives up to its name with the bedazzled Ugg logo front and center. Where were these when The Simple Life was on? Unlike Rue La La's typical Ugg markdown events, so many other brands are included in this sale. Sorel, an Oprah-approved winter boot brand that Katie Holmes is also a fan of, has a couple of popular styles at extremely low prices in the mix. I'm personally a fan of the Go-Mail Run slipper for $50, which is a fluffy slipper I can imagine running errands in in place of Birkenstocks. There are also some great suede boots by Dolce Vita and Berrpaw for under $100 that are ready to handle winter after a good coating of waterproof spray. Basically, you can't go wrong if you're like me and looking for shoes to help you stay warm. And thankfully, every single style on sale at Rue La La is also cute and will likely only elicit compliments instead of questions, which is honestly my real goal.
