As a nearly life-long plus-size shopper (I was wearing a size 12 by middle school), I can confidently say that shopping for coats used to be a waking nightmare. When I was in high school and college, there were very few options in plus-sizes, and the options we did have were often bulky, matronly, and completely out of style.
